Canvas is well-designed for storing files online, which can then be shared with students. One effective way to do this go to the Modules page in a Canvas course and to create a new Module (press +Module at the top right). Within that module, add a file by clicking the + button next to the Module name and uploading a file. Once you have added all the files you need to share, make sure the Module and the files are published and visible to students. You will know this by making sure the cloud icon next to each is green. In addition, you can check by entering student view. To do this, click "Settings" at the bottom of the left-side course menu and then choosing "Student View" from the right side of the page. This will wrap the page in a bright pink outline, and it will show you exactly what a student will see. If you cannot see your Module or file in this view, it has not been published. To publish it, leave the student view (bottom right of the pink wrapper), return to the Module page, and then click the grey cloud next to the file and/or module. You can inform your students of the file's presence by sending an Announcement, which will post to Canvas and will send to their Emory email addresses.
