An instructor can comment on any assignment (Safe Asignment or otherwise), and the student should be able to see those comments when viewing his/her grades. The screenshots attached demonstrate this process. The first screenshot below shows where an instructor should enter comments in the Grade Center. The second shows the student’s view when he/she clicks on “Grades” in Blackboard. You can see the assignment “safe” is listed with a grade. The comments are not shown on this first page, but will shown if the student opens that assignment. The third screenshot is the student’s view when he/she has clicked on the “safe” assignment. You will see the instructor comments there. When an instructor opens the Full Grade Center, he/she will see the number/letter grade assigned listed in the column for the particular assignment. Clicking the down arrow next to the assigned grade will give the option to “View Grade Details.” It is on this page that an instructor can see comments made.
